About Dr.Giriyanna Gowda

Dr Giriyanna Gowda is an Allergy and Asthma specialist, currently practicing in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He completed his MBBS and MD from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, Karnataka. He had done Diploma in Allergy and Asthma (DAA) from Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore, Tamilnadu in association with International Asthma Services (IAS), Denever, USA. He attended Training on Allergy and Immunotherapy in University of Munster, Germany. He was awarded Young Scientist Award by Indian college of Allergy Asthma and Applied Immunology (ICAAAI) in the year 2012 at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He has done special work on Rush subcutaneous immunotherapy, Cluster subcutaneous immunotherapy, Ultrarush Sublingual immunotherapy.

He is also working as faculty in a medical college and giving training to medical students. He is involved in clinical trials, training programmes and epidemiological studies. He is member of Professional bodies like Indian Medical Association, World Allergy Organization, Indian Academy of Allergy and many others. He attended and presented papers in various national and international conferences/workshops/training programmes. He has addressed professional colleagues, school children and public in various meetings. He has several publications in national and international journals. He has given talk in radio and Television.
